Today, I am starting back my Martial Arts training! I can't wait. Today is Tai Chi. Last weekend was our Extravaganza. It was so awesome even if I didn't perform. I was stage manager. i hope I did a good job. At least BJK Sandy wasn't crying when I left. She usually is from All the stress. We had a great bunch of people getting their 1st degree black belts. I was so proud.
A few people dear to me got their belts, Tim, Mitch and Alan B.! WTG guys! I am so proud of ya'll. Alan's daughter put his belt on him and I starting bawling! Ya'll know I am tender hearted anyway. I can't wait to get mine!
I am wearing my brace so, hopefully everything will go smoothly.
Saturday was also the fashion show. As soon I get the picture uploaded I will post them. Kerry looked so pretty. Her ED, and ED's mom came. Kelly even showed up!
Sorry so short, busy, busy! More later!

I miss working out
I really, really miss working out! Can you believe that I am actually saying that? I can't either! I have been unable to take Karate class, Tai Chi and Kick Boxing since June 30th. I am suppose to have my cast removed July 18th. Please, please, please take off my cast Dr. B.!
I am excited that I am missing exercising! I also miss my karate friends.
In other news, tonight is the last night for VBS. Kerry wishes we could go till Friday. Although I am having fun, I am glad tonight is the last night.
Poor Kerry has been neglected. This is the 1st VBS she has ever attended. 15 years old and has never attended VBS. Goodness, I went all the time when I was little... I am glad she is having fun. We are teaching the 2 year olds. I have forgotten the attention span of a 2 year old is like 1 minute! My wonderful lesson plan only lasts for maybe 10 minutes and then we are like, now what?...... HA HA
"Surfing through the Scriptures" that is what we are doing this week at VBS. Hang 10 Dude!

LADY IN RED
Well, the orthopedic Dr. put a cast on. I am now sporting a red cast. Just in time for the 4th. Camping will be loads of fun! No swimming, no boating, just hanging out at the camp site. I will be taking my knitting with me.
The cast will be worn for 2 weeks then I will have a stress X-ray to see how bad my ligaments are. FUN!!!
Please pray for me!

WHAT A KLUTZ!
Last night in Karate Class, I was stepping back into a sparring stance and my ankle rolled and popped! I couldn't move! They got me to prop my foot up and call Kelly to come get me. I thought it was broken because it was hurting on the inside and outside of my ankle. Kelly was upset and told me I had to quit Karate, I said only if you quit doing something that you enjoy doing.
We went o the ER and the attending Dr. sucked! Yes, I know that is mean bu,t he did. He wouldn't even put a boot on my foot since I already have one at home. He told us that the walking boot costs $600.00. I was like well, that is what I have insurance for.. RIGHT! Anyway, Kelly said forget it and we went home with crutches and a sprained ankle. He did say that he saw some bones floating around my ankle and since I have sprained my ankle so much, I needed to see a bone specialist. Going today!
The funniest thing happened while we were there: A guy was in the other room, with a sick stomach. The wacky Dr. told him he was anemic which was strange in a man and that they would need to do a rectal on him. They guy was freaking out! Said Hell NO! Well, Kelly, Kerry and I were laughing our butts off, trying to be quiet. Even a male nurse was trying his best not to laugh!
Please pray that my ankle heals quickly!

MOWING SEASON HAS BEGUN
I forgot to take my ankle brace to work with me yesterday so I went home instead of going to Karate practice. (Bad Student) It was beautiful outside so I decided to help out with the yard work. WORK? I just got off work, why in the world would I want to continue working? Well, I don't do manual labor only mental labor... Poor Kelly works his tail off at his job so I wanted to be nice and help him out. The push mower wouldn't start so, I had to wait till he came home. No surprises in store for him.. Me mowing.. Kelly finally got the mower started after I huffed and puffed about it not working and stormed into the house to do "women's work". Kerry mowed for awhile, while I stewed in the house. I felt bad so I took her a glass of water and I mowed till the mower ran out of gas.
Then the mower wouldn't start again, so, I stormed off again into the house to fix supper. Earlier while I was stewing about the mower not working I got on-line to try to find a mower. So, I really wasn't doing "women's work" I was shopping.. What I can do better, than getting a stinkin' mower to run! And I'm really not storming off to the house more like, Yea, I don't have to mow skip... Bad wife...
Kerry got fed up and came into the house to help me fix Taco Salad for supper. She forgot to drain the meat so it was a tad greasy, other than that it was good. We all took showers from trying to mow and laid around watching the boob tube. Kerry had me to take her blood sugar to see if she is diabetic, you see, every week she has a new aliment. Last week was diabetes, this week she has an over active bladder. Poor, kid, 15 and a hypochondriac. I blame her Mom. Mom has Crohn's and is sick ALL the time, a new aliment every week, that is all Kerry knows. I'm trying to get her out of that... She's been complaining about her teeth and biting her jaw. I reminded her this morning to brush her teeth and asked when was the last time she brushed and her answer was... UH... I don't remember// No wonder she is having teeth issues!!
So we go to the dentist on Saturday and I hope I see the dentist before Kerry does so I can let her know that Kerry isn't brushing.. Still looking for a mower. We didn't finish the yard but hopefully Kelly can get the mower running today while I am at Tai Chi and finish the yard.

Half way to Black Belt
Last week I took my Purple Belt test. I was sooo nervous, I've never been that nervous before. I think it was because we practiced so much for the show in August and then rushed to learn everything before the test. Bu Kwang Ja Nim is such a good teacher that I passed with mostly E's. I didn't get to the belt presentation so BKJN gave me my belt last night before Tai Chi. I also got a new sash for Tai Chi- Green.
We are learning a new form in Tai Chi-the Chen Movement. It is totally different than the Yang movement. A lot more depper stances and quicker. I am not sure how I feel about it yet. Last night was the 2nd class.
Last Thursday I went to the foot doctor for my Turf Toe. Dr. Nuss- he's really nice, he has worked on Pete Rose, Paris Hilton and other famous folks. He gave me a shot in my foot and said the reason my Turf Toe is taking so long to heal is because of the Fibromaligia. Thanks!
That night I went to bed at 8pm and good thing because, Mother in Law called and said Uncle was dying. K said he couldn't go and watch him die. Well, being the nice girl I am, I could let MIL be by herself, so I went to the hospital. MIL took a nerve pill before I got there, at 2am she was upset so I told her to take another one. SHe later started getting sick at her stomach. I called DH and told him to bring sick stomach pills for her. She took one and then basically passed out on me in the other bed. Uncle passed away at 3:27 am. This was the 1st death for his Nurse, since I had been there with My Flossie, I was a pro.... I called DH afterwards and have him come be with me, I had to sign the death certificate and other paperwork since MIL was out cold.... We didn't get to his Nanny's till after 5am. I then had to take care of everything the rest of the day.
No sleep, death, grave, funeral clothing, services.... What am I missing out on???? SLEEP!!!! Oh yeah, found out MIL had taken a total of 3 nerve pills, no wonder she was out cold!
The day of the services MIL passed out as the pallbearers were taking Uncle's body to the hearse. Called the ambulance to come get MIL and take to her the hospital. Wonder what kind of pills she took? She was put in the hospital for dehydration and exhaustion, extreme....
She was out before 8am the next day. Extreme...
I still haven't caught up on my sleep even though I am trying. So congrats to me on achieving my Purple Belt.. I've also been asked to join the Black Belt club. Still trying to decide when I should or if I should. I know that black belt is a goal, I just don't know how long it will take me. Ki-Hap!
