Last Post for 2008

Yep, folks, this year is almost over and for me it really is. I will be way to busy to post again. I hope you all have a very Happy and safe New Year. i know I will be partying down with some friends.

Christmas was awesome. Christmas Eve the Blackwell Gang came to the house and we celebrated with finger foods, way too much, I am here to tell you. The kids got gifts and had loads of fun. We adults just enjoyed each other's company. My sis in law and her fam came as well as my MIL and UIL. The MIL did good, I was so proud of her, no breakdowns at all. One slight one but I told her to suck it up. Not those words exactly but basically. LOL!

Christmas Day we went to my parents house and ate the traditional friend oysters and eggs. It was soooo gooood! Presents were given out by Kerry-she was Santa. We took turns opening gifts from youngest to oldest. I believe I had the most gifts this year, some really special ones, a cookbook from Trisha Yearwood, a cookbook from Disney World, and a Mickey Karate ornament.

Kerry had a great Christmas. She got a radio for her car and many other great pressies. I will post pictures next year.

Much love and I pray that everyone will have a blessed 2009.

FOOD BOXES

Saturday, Kerry and I help the church deliver food boxes to the needy. We delivered to 5 familes. We got lost 1 time because the address we were given wasn't the correct one. I tried where I thought it was but went to the wrong house. Everyone was very happy to recieve the boxes. We were given lots of hugs. I thought that this would be a rewarding experience for Kerry and it was. I saw her tear up a time or two.
I know it was very rewarding for me. We are blessed!

Saturday December 13, my long lost brother brought my nephew to have Christmas with Me, Momma, Kelly and Aunt Jean. Daniel had a great time. My brother- who the heck knows.... He sat in the kitchen the entire time, barely spoke to anyone and tried to get all biblical on me adn I had to spout out the verse on Judge not lest ye be judge and he shut up! He should know better than to mess with me and my Bible Verses! He knows I knows I know more than him. Any way, Daniel fianlly got to spend sometime with his family on Christams, even if it was early.

The funny man!

True Love!
12/6/08 was the date for Western Reflections annual Christmas Party. It was held at the Amber LEaf in Gallatin. We had an awesome time. Comedian Wynn reichert performed for us and had me laughing at times so hard, I couldn't breathe! We collected presents for local children.
The food was awesome and I also found a beer I like! I usually hate beer but now I like Blue Moon. We had beautiful flowers and the Venue (Amber Leaf) was decorated beautifully by the owners.
I hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving 2008 was spent in 2 days. the Sunday before, Kerry, Kelly and I hosted Kelly's sister Kristy and her family and Kelly's Unlce Dale. My mother in law was not feeling well so she did not attend. We did send her something to eat by Kristy. We had a great time. Kelly's nephew Trevor was the laugh of the party! Joey was hunching on Fifi and he said : Awe, look, Joey is getting a piggy back ride from Fifi". OMG, we all laughed our butts off. He laughed too but didn't realize why we all were laughing so hard.
Thanksgiving day, kelly and I went to Goodletsville to my Aunt Jean's house to eat with her, Kyle, Kyle's friend-Zach and my parents. There was way too much food, but it was delicious! Of course we brought home lots of left overs.
The Saturday after Thanksgiving I was suppose to go to my 20th High School reunion but I was in the Er with stomach pains. Still haven't found out what is going on there.
I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving.
Sorry this post is late!

Today's Blessing

November 24, 2008. Songs of the Lord. You have been hearing songs of praise in your head for some time now. May it be known that as you entertain these songs you are actually singing with Me as I sing over you My songs. I know of your great desire to know Me in the deepest reaches of your being. Not only to know Me but to forget yourself and live My life through you in total surrender. I say unto you this is a good thing, actually a promotion for your status with Me. No one else can love Me the way you do. You bring such utter delight to Me. Keep singing and singing and singing. Exquisite unity is now possible as you have never experienced it. Watch and see. Songs of the Lord.Philippians 3:9-10 “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.”

November 24, 2008. You do not realize what a blessing you are, and what good decisions you make. Because of your work ethic, you just keep on doing the right thing. It doesn’t make any difference whether you are recognized or not, but it is appreciated when it comes. You don’t do things for recognition, but do them because they are yours to do. For that reason you are getting ready to be publically recognized. You have trusted and obeyed Me in the small things, and now you will be elevated to greater responsibility. You are up to the task because of the things you have overcome in past positions. Your humility blesses Me. Matthew 25:20-21 The one who had received the five talents came up and brought five more talents, saying, 'Master, you entrusted five talents to me. See, I have gained five more talents.’ 21"His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.”

Early Thanksgiving

Yesterday the Blackwell clan had Thanksgiving early so we could spend Thanksgiving with other family members. The Eatherley's came as well as Kelly's Uncle Dale. My mother in law wasn't feeling well, but Kristy took her something to eat when they left. We had a great time and enjoyed each other's company and ate wayyyy tooooo muuuuccchhh! Good food!
Kelly's nephew trevor is such a hoot, I had to blog about what he said yesterday, so I caould have a record of this. He is 8 years old and not too keen on dogs. I had put Joey and Fifi up when they got there and Trevor was wanting them out. I let the dogs out of the carrier and they did really good.
I was washing dishes and heard everyone laughing, My sister in law came into the kitchen and I asked what was so funny. She said that Joey had mounted Fifi and Trevor had said, "Look, Joey wants a piggy back ride!". (I am laughing now, as I am typing!!!) Well, I brust out laughing and Trevor comes into the Kitchen and tells me the same thing! Poor thing... He will have a rude awakening one day! But, it was sweet. Out of the mouths of babes!
Kelly got laid off from his job on friday. They are suppose to call him back in Jan. I hope so! Please pray for us. I know that God will provide!
I pray that everyone will have a blessed Thanksgiving!

today's blessing

What the Lord Is Saying Today
November 18, 2008.
Some uncertainty has crept into your thinking. It has been eating away at your confidence. Your resolve to continue at any cost has been weakened. But there is nothing wrong with your good heart towards Me. You and I have a covenant that makes your enemies My enemies and My enemies your enemies. Such things as you are dealing with are cleansed by the blood of Jesus being applied. Deep in your heart is your remembrance of how Jesus died on the cross for you, cleansing you from all sins forever. Pray for that blood to again be applied now to take away all double-mindedness and make your focus sharp again. Wash your hands to make sure all impurities are gone. Apply the blood of Jesus to your heart that you may again sparkle with His light. Nothing is lost and there is everything to be gained.James 4:8 “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
November 18, 2008. Your mind is troubled over something that has happened. There is something lost. You know you had it, but it is nowhere to be found. You have looked in every place you remember being, but it seems to just have disappeared. I remember your thoughts and actions before you lost it. Think back over the steps you took. I speak peace to you in your loss. Don’t spend excessive amounts of time looking. Do not worry about it. When you have your mind at rest things suddenly pop in that were forgotten. I restore what is lost. I restore lost memories, lost people, lost relationships; I am the Lord of restoration. Lamentations 5:21 “Restore us to You, O LORD, that we may be restored; Renew our days as of old,”

My only hope is this is what I am told....

November 13, 2008. You have been feeling like you have been stuck in one position for quite a while, like you have been at a standstill. You have felt bored from time to time. My child I am pleased with you for you have made the most of your time, and have been faithful in this place. A change is coming, a big change. You will be thrust into a new position suddenly. Don’t be afraid or overwhelmed. Keep your focus on Me. You will wonder how you moved so suddenly. I observed your faithfulness and humility. I am bringing you to a new level of service, a place of joy and excitement. Matthew 25:23 "His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful slave. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.”

20 YEARS HAVE FLOWN BY

May 28,1988 was the day I ended my life as a child and became an adult, or so I thought at the time. TCHS class of 48, graduated and we cried. We were a close class, how could you not be with 48 people in your graduating class? We are getting together in a few weeks to celebrate 20 years of what? Wedded bliss for some, fame for others, me? Nothing but being glad to be alive and glad I am married to the man of my dreams and being a Christian.
I spoke to a class mate a few nights ago who was labeled special needs. She ahs written a book of peotry adn is a published author! Wow! I am so proud of her! I never would have thought she would be a published author.
I was always the one who was friends with everyone well, except for the guy that broke my jaw as a freshman. him, I don't like very well! But anyway, I loved everyone in my class and feel like most of them like me too. Of course, there are a few who think their crap didn't stink, and still do to this day. But, let me tell their crap does stink! I haven't met anyone whose doesn't. LOL!
I can't wait to see everyone again. Only to see how they are.
