20 YEARS HAVE FLOWN BY

May 28,1988 was the day I ended my life as a child and became an adult, or so I thought at the time. TCHS class of 48, graduated and we cried. We were a close class, how could you not be with 48 people in your graduating class? We are getting together in a few weeks to celebrate 20 years of what? Wedded bliss for some, fame for others, me? Nothing but being glad to be alive and glad I am married to the man of my dreams and being a Christian.
I spoke to a class mate a few nights ago who was labeled special needs. She ahs written a book of peotry adn is a published author! Wow! I am so proud of her! I never would have thought she would be a published author.
I was always the one who was friends with everyone well, except for the guy that broke my jaw as a freshman. him, I don't like very well! But anyway, I loved everyone in my class and feel like most of them like me too. Of course, there are a few who think their crap didn't stink, and still do to this day. But, let me tell their crap does stink! I haven't met anyone whose doesn't. LOL!
I can't wait to see everyone again. Only to see how they are.

HOOKEY

Wednesday, Kerry and I played Hookey. I took her to the OBGYN to get more meds and then we picked out her birthday cake at Publix's. We later went to Goodwill to shop for her Halloween costume. She stared sout wanting to be a vampress, then a snake and finally a witch. Hopefully she will stick with witch. I also got Kelly 3 pairs of really nice jeans. We at lunch at The Chocolate Covered Strawberry. OMG.... It was so good and filling. If you are ever in Gallatin, you need to eat at The Chocolate Covered Strawberry. It's a sweet little tea room like atmosphere that has the best sandwhiches and desserts. You need to go!
We also went by my work so she could meet everyone. We then went to Dollar General to get candy for her party favorites. They are boxes with her inital and filled with candy. I am getting excited about her party. I hope we have a good turnout.

Boy meets girl... 20 years ago

August 28, 1988, Kelly and I had our 1st offical date. After the football game that is. Kelly was a sophmore and I was a senior. Yep. I am 2 years older, even though he looks older... I worked in the concession stand that night. I had quit the band that year, I was sick of twirling. I have always been one of those people who has done things because people told me I couldn't because of my size. I wasn't the only "Big" girl twirling during my baton days, but I was the oldest.
Anyway, Kelly was playing football and I was doing everything I could to watch while working the concession stand. I can't rememeber who we played that night but I do remember us winning! I was standing at the end of the field after the game and he gave me a sweaty hug! It was nasty but so sweet at the time. Sometimes I wish we could back to those sweet inoccent all in love days!
Young love is so great!
After The game we went to eat then riding around town. I took him home and then went home. I remember thinking at the time, I really like this boy but I wasn't ready to fall in love. It was my SR. year and all I wanted to do is study and hang out with my friends and have the time of my life! I did all of that with someone I was head over heels in love with and had the time of my life!
I loved being in love and enjoying life.
Here we are 20 years later, married for 4 years and still madly in love with each other. Of course our love has matured but we still love each other!

My Best friend is back!

Angie Spivey has moved back home! Yeah!!! Well, she's not Spivey anymore of course, I'll always be Angie Rogers to her... We have been friends forever, like way back in elementary school. We used to tell people we were twins separated at birth and our adopted Mom's named us both Angela, nickname-Angie.
We were inseparable. Just about every Friday, I'd go to her house and stay till late on Sunday night. After high school, we kinda lost touch, but I always thought of her and wondered what she was up to. She has two beautiful boys and an awesome husband. I can't wait for us to rekindle our friendship.
I went to see her Friday night and it was like we had never lost touch. She looks the same, she kinda lost her southern twang, but she'll have it back in no time. Her youngest took up with me right away, he was showing me his room and had me playing with his toys. Her oldest was to much into TV to really pay a lot of attention. That's OK, hopefully we'll get closer as we see each other more often.
Welcome home Angie and Family!!

Saturday the company I work with had our company picnic at Beach bend Park. We had lost of fun till we started coming home. My stinking truck messed up and it took us 4 hours to get home! Kelly sure was cussing.... I felt so bad. We took the truck to a guy we know and he thinks it is the fuel pump, which he just replaced. That means it is still under warranty!!! Yea!!! But, once we get it back we will be car shopping-that should be lots if fun!
